The Latin American and Caribbean Association of Environmental and Resource Economists - ALEAR (Asociación Latinoamericana y del Caribe de Economistas Ambientales y de Recursos Naturales) is a Non-governmental organization (NGO), that assembles institutions and professionals interested in investigation, application and disclosing of environmental and natural resource economics. Latin American public, private and educational institutions recognized for their work in this area sponsors Alear's work initiative.

Disclose and support the development and implementation of the environmental and natural resource economic instruments, in order to contribute to the sustainable development of Latin American countries.

Become a permanent mechanism to support the development of environmental and natural resource economics in Latin America.
