First Latin American and Caribbean Congress on Environmental and Resource Economics. Cartagena de Indias, July 9 - 11 2003.

The First Latin American and Caribbean Congress on Environmental and Resource Economics was a big success thanks to the participation and support of the institutions and professionals from around the world who have been working in this area.

We managed to bring together many latinamerican professionals who have been working in subjects related to the environment and we shared information about current advances and research in the area. Furthermore, the participation of important international experts who held different discussion sessions. These sessions  contributed with valuable information on the results of economic instrument implementation.

There were 120 participants, mostly Latin Americans form the andean region. There also were participants from the Caribbean, Europe, Africa and the United States.

 

Presented Papers

The papers presented at the congress will soon be available on-line for Alear members. We are also planning on having printed transcript of the preceedings.
